UFC has officially announced the main event for the May 26 PPV from Las Vegas as being a Lightheavyweight title fight with champion Chuck Liddell defending against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Jackson is the last man to actually beat Chuck Liddell having stopped him in the 2nd round of their 2003 fight at PRIDE Final Conflict. Jackson won via TKO ground and pound. Since the loss Chuck has won 7 straight fights and has become UFC Lightheavyweight champion. Since defeating Liddell in that fight Jackson has gone 7-3 with two brutal KO's courtesy of Wanderlei Silva and one courtesy of Silva's protege Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Jackson's last fight was a 2nd round KO of Marvin Eastman in the 2nd round at UFC 67 in February. Liddell's last fight was a very convincing win over Tito Ortiz by TKO stoppage in the 3rd round at UFC 66 in December. Liddell previously avenged losses to Randy Couture and Jeremy Horn. The loss to Jackson is the only unavenged one of his career.
